I have a little alaskan klee kai who is about 6lbs, 12" tall and 12" long (she's pretty much all leg); i anticipated her to be about 16lbs like her mother when i bought this crate back when she was a puppy, but luckily she didn't get that big, or else she probably would've outgrown the crate. right now, it seems perfectly roomy -- if she sits, her ears almost touch the top of the crate, and she can still move around a little in there. what i loved about this crate was that it came with a divider -- when i was potty training her, it was a must-have. it obviously was too big when she was little, but i can literally say she grew with the crate. you just have to move the divider little by little as the pup gets older, and when it's potty trained, you won't have to worry anymore (when you're potty training, the crate needs to be a specific size in order for them not to do their business in one area and sleep in the other).

however, when i first opened the box (not going to lie...) i did have some issues pulling it together. however, i don't fault Midwest, i fault myself for overthinking the process haha. also, if your dog is a big scratcher and shaker, it'll get a little annoying since the wire will shake and rattle, unlike a plastic crate.

anyway, overall, i'd definitely get the crate. it's super sturdy (my puppy tried chewing on it and there are no marks on it) and if you clean off the sticker on the front panel, you can make a name tag with stickers :)
